Faculty of Health Sciences Investigation and Management of GI Disease Continuing Professional Development Individual module Level of study Please select a level How to apply What you'll study This module has been developed to meet both the increasing demands of education within Advanced Practitioners roles within the healthcare environment. It provides the opportunity for healthcare professionals to inform and contribute to the patient journey within gastroenterology within the multidisciplinary environment. The module forms part of the gastroenterology degree level pathway. The module aims to enable the student to apply knowledge and understanding of the GI tract to the assessment and initial management of the patient presenting within gastroenterology. It will equip the student with the necessary knowledge and critical understanding of assessment and initial management strategies within gastroenterology which are utilised within the practice of gastrointestinal care. The module will be facilitated by a variety of clinicians, highly experienced nurses and other allied health professional with extended experience within this area as part of the continued commitment to the inter-professional learning agenda within the university.
