Students applying for this module will have the approval of their employing NHS Trust to undertake the award of Associate Practitioner and will be concurrently undertaking module 47670 which is the practice element of this theory module. This module will introduce students to the theoretical and clinical knowledge underpinning the practice of healthcare professionals within the perioperative and critical care areas. Clinical placements will provide practical experience which will enable students to be introduced to and begin to develop the skills necessary to care for patients within the perioperative and critical care areas.
