What you'll study

Explore concepts and constructs which underpin perioperative practice. Practice experiences will form a basis for discussion of issues relating to patient care and you will be introduced to the concept of evidence based practice. Links with the development and maintenance of quality care will be emphasised.

A variety of approaches used in health research will be introduced, and the focus of the module will be on the acquisition of skills and knowledge needed to access and understand different forms of evidence. This module will provide you with essential skills in appraisal of evidence which will be enhanced and developed in future study and in professional practice.

This module is delivered on Thursday mornings on campus.
