What you'll study

Decision making skills are central to higher level education and are relevant to all professionals in health and social care. Decision making is essential to problem solving and innovation both at a clinical and managerial level and it therefore assists professionals to address the demands and challenges of service delivery and development.

This module is designed to provide students with a range of tools and perspectives to enhance their ability to critically examine health and social care decisions.

Entry requirements

Entry is open to anyone working in a health or social care environment.

Normally applicants should possess a 2:2 classification from a bachelors degree. Where this requirement is not met, alternative professional qualifications and experience may be considered through the ‘matriculation/ Dean’s Approval' process.

Evidence of recent successful academic study at level six normally in the last five years and potential to achieve level seven study.

Home/EU: £1,540 (per 20 credit module)

Funding may be available through your employer. If you’re self-funding, you may be eligible for a Professional and Career Development Loan from the government.
