About the course

Please note, this programme is only applicable to students who have already gained an Advanced Diploma in Nursing (any branch) at the University of Hull within the last 9 years.

The health and social care environment is constantly changing and evolving. Practitioners must continually adapt and develop their skills to meet the complex and dynamic needs of service users. This degree has been designed for those who work in the health and social care sector and want to develop their knowledge and skills.

This part-time programme consists of 3 modules (1 per semester), consisting of Study Skills, Research and Evidence Applied to Practice, and Evidencing Personal and Professional Development. Study Skills must be undertaken first. Upon completion/passing, you will then surrender your Advanced Diploma Certificate in Nursing upon receiving you degree.

Attendance requirements

Attendance includes a combination of workplace learning and University attendance. This will be dependent upon the selection of modules and the modes of teaching and delivery identified for each module. For example, for a 20 credit module delivered over one semester (12 weeks), attendance may be required for 6 full days or for 12 half days, or the module may be mainly delivered online or be work-based.

There is an expectation that students will attend for a minimum of 80% of study days. Additional reading and written work is required above and beyond the time attending the module.
