Summary

I qualified as a registered midwife at the University of Hull in 2014. I gained experience and became a rotational band 6 midwife in the Maternity Department at the Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby. Part of my role included teaching obstetric emergencies to a multidisciplinary team. This led me to attend the Practical Obstetric Multi-Professional Training (PROMPT) at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and assisted in implementing and facilitating local multi-professional PROMPT training within the Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust. More recently I joined the Midwifery Department at the University of Hull as I felt the state-of-the-art clinical skills facility is an exceptional resource for students and would allow me to enhance student's practical skills within this setting. I am very excited to be working in academia and helping to shape our future midwives.?
