Mr Roberto Fernandez Leverhulme Trust Research Fellow +44 (0)1482 462306 | R.Fernandez@hull.ac.uk Faculty and Department Institutes Energy and Environmental Institute Related groups Energy and Environment Institute Biography Outputs Research/PhD Summary Roberto is a Leverhulme Trust Research Fellow at the Energy and Environment Institute. He joined the University of Hull as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Fall of 2018. Before joining us, he completed his PhD focused on the role of alluvial cover fluctuations on bedrock erosion in mixed bedrock-alluvial meandering channels at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a geomorphologist and studies the ways in which erosion and deposition shape the landscapes around us. Preferred research methods include observation and experimentation. Roberto's current research lies at the science-arts interface and focuses on melting and dissolution, two erosive mechanisms that sculpt our world by carving fantastic patterns.
