Summary

I am a Senior Lecturer in Psychology with a particular interest in Educational Psychology and mental health and wellbeing in children and adolescents. Having taught in HE for the last 24 years I have experience of teaching across the curriculum and across all three years of the degree programme

Currently I am Module Leader for two modules, Level 4: Global Challenge and Level 6: Psychology in Education. I also teach on Social Psychology and Individual Differences 2 at Level 5 and Research Skills 1 and 2 at Level 4 in addition to Research Skills 3 and 4 at Level 5.

Research interests

My research falls primarily within the University’s strategic theme of Health and Wellbeing, both in the broader context of understanding human behaviour and with respect to the psychological aspects of educational failure on the future wellbeing of adolescents and young adults (e.g. depression, unemployment

and crime).
