Summary

I am a Geoscientist who takes an interdisciplinary approach to geoscience research. My research focuses on renewable energy development (geothermal and carbon capture sequestration), critical and rare earth minerals, and geoscience communication. I am developing content analysis, discourse analysis, and policy expertise, focusing on the intersection with geoscience education, natural resources (energy, mineral and water), social science, and policy. This depth and breadth of experience have nurtured my understanding of the UN Sustainable Development (SDGs) and appreciation for Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and Science Diplomacy factors to be considered for sustainable development and management of any natural resource. All this drives me towards understanding how low-income countries in the global south can accelerate a #JustEnergyTransition and decarbonisation from fossil fuel.

I am involved in many EDI projects. My work in this arena seeks to effect positive change in geosciences across disciplines and countries.
