Manuel Hernández-Pérez is a lecturer in digital design at the University of Hull where he is programme leader for the BA Game and Entertainment Design course.
He has conducted research on video games, social networks' narrative aspects and, more recently, on Japanese media industries with a special focus on cross-media narratives and cross-cultural readings of manga and anime products.
His interests are also linked to the practical applications of narrative video games.
Active collaborator on 'European History of Anime Markets', a project coordinated by Marco Pellitteri (Kobe University, Japan and Ca’ Foscari University, Venice)
Member of AEJE - Asociacion Espanola de Estudios Japoneses (Spanish Japanese Studies Association)
