Summary

Dr Katherine Bloomfield is a Post-Doctoral Research Associate currently working as a Research Fellow on the Infrastructure and Projects Authority endorsed ‘Project X’ - a collaborative partnership between academia and government for improving the performance of major government projects. Her research interests lie in the management of major projects, public sector procurement systems, outsourcing contracts and risk. During her three years as a Ph.D. researcher, Katherine worked closely with the UK’s Ministry of Defence and the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory. Prior to this, Katherine read Business Economics at Hull University Business School, where she was awarded the Groves Gift in Economics, an undergraduate prize for academic performance.
