Summary

Currently Academic Lead for Nursing Programme in the Faculty of Health Sciences, I am an experienced nurse academic with track record of strategic influence at Faculty and University level. I have extensive experience in the development of curriculum, Higher Education Institution and PSRB quality assurance activities. I have educational research experience and have completed a study of first year university students’ experiences of retrieving, interpreting and evaluating lecturers’ on-line assessment feedback as part of my doctoral studies.

My clinical background is in the areas of medical, surgical, neurological, cardiac, and intensive care hospital wards, wound management and practice development between 1987 – 2001. I developed the Post Graduate Diploma (Tissue Viability) that was recognised by the the European Wound Management Association. in 2015 at the University of Hull.
