JD is a qualified General and Mental Health Nurse, CPsychol, has a Masters degree in Public Health and a PhD considering psychological theory for implementation.

She is a Senior Lecturer in Implementation Science in SHSW, the interim Co-Director of the SEDA research group (HYMS), is an Academic Fellow and Executive member of the YH AHSNs Improvement Academy and a founding member of the Health Foundations “Q” (quality care) initiative.

Her research and work in clinical practice involve the use of psychology in assessing the determinants of health or implementation behaviours and subsequent co-design or interventions to support (health or practice) behaviour change.
