Franziska is a research assistant working in the maternal wellbeing research cluster who has worked on a range of projects in the area of maternal health, maternal mental health and maternity services.

She completed her PhD, entitled 3D ultrasound in pregnancy: discourses, women’s experiences and psychological understanding, at the University of Hull in 2013.

Previously, Franziska worked as an antenatal teacher for 10 years. She has also worked in agricultural research at the University of Leeds and De Montfort University, and for a small academic publishing company as a research assistant and editorial assistant.
