Benita Wilson began her nursing education in 1979 and has worked in a variety of posts in hospital and community settings: surgical and medical wards, community nursing, practice and Marie Curie nursing.
After obtaining a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Health Psychology, she returned to nursing in 1995 as a lecturer teaching psychology, general nursing, care planning and how to engage in academic writing.
