Teaching Fellow
Aarzoo is a Teaching Fellow at the Centre of Excellence for Data Science, AI, and Modelling (DAIM) at the University of Hull. She completed her PhD at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR) in May 2022. Before joining DAIM, Aarzoo worked as a postdoctoral researcher at University College London (UCL) until November 2023. Her PhD and postdoctoral research focused on leveraging social media data to address and complement traditional public health challenges. Specializing in natural language processing (NLP), Aarzoo has demonstrated expertise in AI and machine learning, with numerous publications in top-tier conferences and high-impact journals. Broadly her research interests include computational social science, climate change and health, and digital epidemiology. In her current role, she teaches "Python programming" and "Understanding AI" to MSc students in DAIM.
