Travelling more than 20 miles? We'll chip in towards your travel costs*
We want to make it as easy as possible for you to see for yourself if our campus is as perfect for you as we think it might be. So if you're travelling from more than 20 miles away, we'll pay a hefty chunk of your travel costs so you get to enjoy your journey that little bit more.
The open day travel fund amount depends on the distance travelled to the University and is calculated by the University of Hull. The amount awarded will be based on the shortest route from the registered home postcode on the open day booking form to the University's Cottingham Road campus (postcode HU6 7RX).
*Here's how much you can get:
|Distance from the University || Amount|
| 20-69 miles
| 70-149 miles
|150 miles or more
Travel money will be paid in cash (yes, cash!), and must be claimed on the day at the designated point which will be clearly signposted. You will need to bring a form of ID - either a bank card, student card, driving licence or passport - and something with your address on, too. This must be collected before 3pm on the day. Travel money cannot be awarded retrospectively, and you may claim this only once. If you're travelling from overseas, the distance will be calculated from the point you enter the UK.
If you need any help claiming this back, please talk to one of our team on the day.
Or why not stay the night?
Sorry, due to demand all rooms have now been booked, so we can't currently offer free accommodation for the upcoming open day.
