Libby Squire Memorial

Please join us in remembering Libby

We’ve all been deeply affected by the loss of Libby Squire and we’ve created space for people to leave tributes and messages in a quiet area opposite the Brynmor Jones Library (outside the Hardy Building). This has been clearly marked with a picture of Libby, and people have already started placing flowers.

Members of our local community are also very welcome to join our students and staff in leaving tributes here and coming together to support each other at this difficult time.

Other ways of remembering Libby

Other ways of remembering Libby may take a little time as we need to respect her family’s privacy and wishes, and want to involve them in finding an appropriate way to honour her. We’ll give you more information as soon as we can.

This is a difficult time for everyone at the University, especially those who were closest to Libby, and we encourage you all to take the time and space you need to come to terms with this news.

For these reasons, we ask that anyone coming on to campus is mindful of this and respects these private and reflective moments of remembrance and grief.
