Mathematics courses

Mathematics is part of the School of Natural Sciences, which sits within the Faculty of Science and Engineering.

We designed our mathematics curriculum to help you gain an understanding of pure and applied maths, as well as probability and statistics. In the later part of your degree, you'll complete an extended project involving an in-depth study of a problem of your own choosing.

Foundation year

Gives you the skills and knowledge for entry on to a degree if you don’t quite meet the academic entry requirements.

Study abroad

We have partnerships with universities across the globe. Depending on your course, you can study for one trimester, or a full year, in another country.

Industrial placement

Work in industry as part of your degree. Depending on your course, you can spend part of your degree on placement. See your course page for specific details.

Integrated Masters

Some courses combine undergraduate and postgraduate study. The integrated Masters year is an extra year after your standard degree.

  • Mathematics

An intellectually challenging degree which encourages conceptual and abstract thought.
