Is this subject the right choice for me?

Creativity lives and breathes at the University of Hull. Always has done, always will. It’s central to what universities do. But at Hull, we’re building something that goes far beyond our four walls.

A revolutionary arts education. Where you’re free to explore creative solutions to the challenges our industry faces in a post-COVID world.

A technical and practical arts education. To equip you with the talent and business know-how to excel in a wider range of careers.

An arts education for all. No matter who you are, where you come from or where you’re going, you too can do what you love – and turn it into a career.

Undergraduate courses

Our courses give you a strong grounding in business and digital know-how, including leadership, marketing, presenting, event planning and project management.

When you join Hull, you join a creative community of performers, producers, composers, designers, storytellers, film-makers and writers.

And you’ll often get the chance to collaborate and co-produce with them. Either with students on your Creative Industries course, or students from other creative and digital degrees.

Real projects, real performances, real audiences

Put your skills and theory to the test in the real world.

Co-producing, auditioning, shadowing, coaching, negotiating and more with the likes of Hull Truck, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Solid State Logic, Screen Yorkshire, and Absolutely Cultured.

And in your final year, you’ll complete a major project alongside others from across the arts, as a springboard into your future career. Plus, you could even secure one of our work placement opportunities with an organisation we work with.

The big arts boom

It’s no secret that the global pandemic has taken its toll on the arts. But here’s the good news: its future is full of hope.

Now more than ever, the world is looking to people like you: creators, curators, performers and producers. People who can help write the script of an exciting new chapter, and lead the future of the creative industries.
