Want to create the next generation of software? Or develop apps or computer games for a living? Or even set up your own tech business one day? Whether you’re already an accomplished programmer or an absolute beginner, you’ll open up all these careers and more with a Computer Science degree at Hull, part of the Department of Computer Science and Technology within the Faculty of Science and Engineering.

Because we’re linked with industry giants like Microsoft, Sony and EA, everything you learn is right up to date with the latest tech and teaching.

You’ll cover all the essentials like software engineering and development, computer games and graphics programming.

You’ll get opportunities to hear from industry speakers and take part in programming competitions.

All our Computer Science undergraduate courses offer a guaranteed, paid year in industry, between the second and third year, as a recognised part of your degree.

Foundation year

Gives you the skills and knowledge for entry on to a degree if you don’t quite meet the academic entry requirements.

Study abroad

We have partnerships with universities across the globe. Depending on your course, you can study for one trimester, or a full year, in another country.

Industrial placement

Work in industry as part of your degree. Depending on your course, you can spend part of your degree on placement. See your course page for specific details.

Integrated Masters

Some courses combine undergraduate and postgraduate study. The integrated Masters year is an extra year after your standard degree.
