Summary

I am a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Finance and programme Director of undergraduate programs in Accounting and Finance at University of Hull. I have previously worked as an economic analyst at the Directorate for Macroeconomic Analysis & Forecasting (Hellenic Ministry of Finance). I have also worked in the Dept. of Economics University of Birmingham; teaching across a number of courses. I graduated top of my class during both my undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the Dept. of Economics of Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). After finishing my postgraduate studies I started conducting my research under the supervision of Professor Tsionas and Professor Tarantilis at an MSc. and a PhD level. I completed my PhD, with distinction, in Financial Economics at Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) under a scholarship from the Greek State Scholarship Foundation and other institutions.

My research interests are in the areas of financial economics, banking, applied econometrics, alternative investments and industrial organization.

My research has been published in academic journals such as the European Journal of Operational Research, Journal of Banking and Finance, Annals of Operations Research, International Review of Financial Analysis, International Journal of Hospitality Management, Economics Letters, Research in International Business and Finance and Finance Research Letters.

I act as an ad hoc reviewer for several internationally excellent Journals, research organisations and conferences including Journal of International Money and Finance, International Review of Financial Analysis, International Journal of Finance and Economics, Finance Research Letters, Economic Modelling, International Finance, Review of Behavioural Finance, International Journal of Behavioural Accounting and Finance, International Journal of Social Economics, the Carnegie Trust for the Universities of Scotland and INFINITI conference.
