Summary

Programme Director: BSc (Hons) Midwifery / Module leader, pre-registration midwifery modules, Public Health, Ill Health, Human Anatomy and Physiology. Ola Ogbuehi has pursued an interest midwifery and childbearing for many years. Particular areas of interest have been in teaching the anatomy and physiology of lactation and in the protection, promotion and support of breastfeeding under the auspices of Unicef UK, Baby Friendly Initiative. Teaching areas include, public health and midwifery, human anatomy and physiology and pathophysiology related to women of childbearing age. Scholarship is being undertaken on the impact for parents, on the characteristics of antenatal educators and on the factors that affect midwifery guardianship of normal birth.
