Dr Shah welcomes applications to supervise PhD proposals in public international law (human rights, the use of force, humanitarian law, refugee law and international criminal law) and Islamic law.
PhD proposals looking at the relationship of public international law and Islamic law in Muslim states where Sharia is supreme law are also welcome.
Dr Shah has supervised theses on the relationship of international diplomatic law and Islamic law and in the area of refugee and asylum law.
