Summary

Michael read Chemistry at Oxford where he won a Hastings Scholarship, and then trained in patent law before studying for a PhD at Cambridge. His thesis was on the mechanistic chemistry of ruthenium(II) arene complexes as medicines, with Dr Sally Boss and Dr Paul Barker, and involved a research visit to Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, with Prof Phil Andrews. He joined the University of Hull in July 2016.
