A former University of Hull graduate, Karen had a varied career in social work before returning to the University in 2001 as a practice educator in the Family Assessment and Support Unit.

She has since performed many roles including research and teaching on social work practice-related modules.

Currently, Karen is engaged in practice co-ordination, development and support. She also contributes to practice-related matters locally, in both the University and the wider community.

She is also on the off-site practice educator register, and has undertaken the practice educator role in both voluntary and statutory settings.
