Helen Sisson is a registered child nurse and health visitor who, prior to joining higher education in 2010, was a research nurse undertaking clinical vaccine trials in infants and children.

Her interests remain in child and public health, and she has developed a keen enthusiasm in vaccination.

Helen's teaching and research interests are primarily centred around public health practice, research methods and vaccination.

She is currently investigating vaccination timeliness in preterm infants across the region for her PhD.

  • Member of the Maternal and Reproductive Health faculty research group who collaborates with members of the paediatric team
