Summary

Dr Deborah Adekemi is a Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at Hull University Business School. She has more than seven years of teaching and research experience in the United Kingdom. Dr Deborah is the module leader for UG Management Accounting among other teaching roles. Before joining the University of Hull, she had worked as an Accounting Executive Officer at REAN Finance in Nigeria and as an entrepreneur between 2009 and 2012. She has also previously worked as an Assistant Lecturer at both the University of Essex and Goldsmith University, London.

Dr Deborah holds a PhD in Accounting and a first class in Accounting and Financial Management (MSc) from the University of Essex. She is a Fellow of Higher Education Academy, UK.

She is interested in topics in the area of corporate disclosures, governance, performance auditing, sustainability and accountability issues in various organisational settings (preference for multinationals, public sector and non-for-profit organisations).
