Summary

Chris leads and manages the University Library within the Chief Operating Officer's portfolio, encompassing frontline services, collections management and development (including archives), study skills and information literacy, and research outputs support and management. He represents the Library across University Committees, aligning the Library's services with the University's strategic direction and goals.

Externally, Chris has been a member of a number of Jisc Steering Groups, and currently sits on the Digital Research Community Council. He was a founder of the Samvera Community (previously known as Hydra) in 2008 and remains active within the Community, supporting the development of digital repository solutions.

Prior to joining the University of Hull, Chris worked as a Programme Manager for Jisc, and as a systems librarian at Imperial College, London.
