Dr. Chloe Wu is a Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at the Hull University Business School. She is also the programme director of BSc in Accounting (HKU). She obtained her PhD from the University of Leeds. Before joining the HUBS, she was an Associate Lecturer at the University of Durham and had several years experience in the banking industry.
Chloe's research interests are in the areas of corporate governance, financial and corporate reporting and auditing. Her research has been published in the international recognised journals such as The British Accounting Review and International Review of Financial Analysis. She is also involved in PhD supervision and contributes to research community by acting as an ad-hoc reviewer for top-rated international journals such as Accounting and Business Research, The British Accounting Review and European Management Review.
Chloe has taught across various accounting modules, including financial accounting, international accounting, management accounting and research methods in accounting. As a programme director, she is responsible for programme management and curriculum design. She also contributes to international collaboration with academic institutions and professional bodies (ACCA, CPA Australia and HKICPA).
