Community Nursing Programme Director/ District Nurse Pathway Leader/ Community Nurse Prescribing Module Leader

Carol Rubini is currently Programme Director for Community Nursing.

Prior to commencing her career in academia, she worked extensively in community nursing as a district nurse and latterly as a Macmillan clinical nurse specialist.

Carol completed her undergraduate studies in Cancer and Palliative Care at Oxford Brookes University and her MSc in Health Professional Studies at the University of Hull, subsequently qualifying as a nurse independent prescriber.

She holds the title of Queen's Nurse in recognition of her commitment to improving patient-centred care. In 2017, she was appointed visiting expert in community nursing to the Singapore Ministry of Health.
