Ben Yong joined the Law School at the University of Hull in September 2014.

He previously worked as a research associate at the Constitution Unit, University College London, where he worked on several projects, leading on Ministers Outside Parliament and The Roles of Government Lawyers, and co-leading projects on Coalition Government in the UK and Special Advisers, between 2010 and 2013.

Dr Yong was at the Ministry of Justice working on the UK Cabinet Manual between February and July 2010.

He is currently working on a Leverhulme Trust research grant, Legal Advice to Legislatures: Supporting a Professionalised Legislature, examining legal work done within Westminster and in the devolved assemblies.
