Summary

Dr Anna Fitzer's research incorporates interests in representations of sentiment, sensibility, and libertinism in 18th-century fiction and drama, women's writing, and early Romantic literary biography and memoir. Her research has received external funding from the British Academy and she has published extensively on the work of Frances Sheridan and her daughters, Elizabeth and Alicia LeFanu. Work on the life and writings of Sheridan's grand-daughter, the poet and novelist Alicia LeFanu, draws upon her broader interests in 18th and early 19th century women writers and dramatists, and their literary coteries.
