After studying French and German at the University of Ulster, Ann spent a number of years working in industry in Brussels.

She then trained as a teacher of modern foreign languages at the University of Leeds, before going on to work as a teacher, head of year and head of department in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Since 2012 Ann has taught on, and more recently led, the University's Subject Knowledge Enhancement course in French as well as teaching on the Modern Languages PGCE programme.

  • The problems and possibilities of maintaining modern foreign languages provision in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire
