Your place in Hull

Clearing is your opportunity to get a place at uni if you don't have one already - for whatever reason that might be. We know you'll have a lot of questions, and a Clearing Visit Day is your chance to find out if this uni is where you're meant to be.

Book on to a Clearing visit at Hull and we’ll make it all about you. We’ll design a day around you, your questions and your future. We reckon we’ve got options for you that’ll turn a lot of the uncertainty into ... well, certainty. You’ll experience a taste of being a Hull student and come away feeling a bit more able to make that all-important decision. Whatever brought you to this point, here's where you take the next step.

Great, when can I visit?

Before results day (31 July - 14 August)

In the run up to results day, we're running weekly visits every Wednesday. Tours leave from the main reception in the Venn building. You don't have to book in advance, but we do advise you to, as this helps us design your day.

After results day (16 - 23 August)

We'll be running visit days every day - including weekends. You don't have to have been offered a place either, you can just book on and we'll design the day around you.

Travelling more than 20 miles? It's on us.

We wouldn't want any pesky cost hassles making you miss out on getting a feel for life at Hull. So we offer a travel grant to make getting here a bit easier. We’re that confident you’ll like what you find when you arrive.

The grant's available to anyone who attends a Clearing visit who is a UK resident and needs to travel more than 20 miles to reach us.*

*The amount you’ll receive will be based on the shortest route (one way) from the home address listed on your UCAS application to our campus. We calculate travel grants at these rates: 20–69 miles, £30; 70–149 miles, £50; 150 miles or more, £100. Please note that travel grants can’t be awarded retrospectively and can’t be claimed more than once, further Ts & Cs apply.

Explore the campus

Take a guided tour around campus and explore our brilliant facilities. A £28-million refurbishment has upgraded the Brynmor Jones Library into a superb learning space. We've renovated Middleton Hall into an amazing performance and concert venue (it also houses the region's best digital cinema), and constructed a revolutionary 'health campus' for cutting-edge medical training.

Outside the labs and lecture theatres, there are plenty of places to unwind: bars, coffee shops (including Starbucks and Costa), lawns and plazas.
