At each set of degree ceremonies, the University of Hull is proud to award Honorary Degrees, which aim to recognise exceptional and outstanding personal achievement, stature and distinction of individuals. Awards may be made to recognise academic excellence, an exceptional contribution to science, public service, business or the arts, or an outstanding contribution to the University or its communities. The University values highly the inspiration provided by our honorary graduates as role models for current and future generations of the University’s students.
Recipients of Honorary Degrees are nominated for the award by our staff, students or alumni and approved for the award by the University Senate and Council. If you wish to nominate someone for the award of an Honorary Degree, you may read further information and access a nomination form at this site.
