Web Full Screen-Hull University Open Day - Saturday 7th July 2018-256

Health and Safety

The safety of everyone is our top priority.

To help you enjoy your visit, we’ll be following a set of enhanced health, safety and hygiene measures.

In order to manage social distancing and the flow of people through campus, you’ll need to pre-book an arrival time for your Open Day. We'll also be limiting capacity to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

Here's what we're doing to keep everyone safe...

Face coverings

The university encourages all colleagues, students and visitors to wear a face covering (unless exempt) indoors and in busy spaces.

Hand sanitiser stations

Hand sanitisers are available at various points across the campus and in every building, and we’d encourage you to use them frequently.

Enhanced cleaning

Enhanced cleaning will take place throughout the day.

Queue management

Our staff will be managing any queues across campus to ensure that areas don’t become overcrowded and keeping everyone as safe as possible.

Hygiene screens

Screens will be in place at key points, such as subject stands, information desks, cafés and our shop to ensure the safety of both you and our staff.

What you can do to help...

  • Please adhere to the current Government guidelines on keeping safe and preventing the spread of COVID-19.
  • All visitors (over 11 years old) are encouraged to wear a face covering in crowded or busy areas, unless exempt.
  • Please use contactless payment options at food and drink outlets if possible.
  • Please keep an eye on your emails – if anything changes or we need to send you any updates, we’ll contact you as soon as possible.
  • And finally, please don't visit if you're feeling unwell, or have any other symptoms of COVID-19. We’ll be running lots of other tours and events, so there’s no need to worry about missing out.
