Paying Your Fees

There are several ways of paying your tuition or accommodation fees.

If you've applied for a Tuition Fee Loan you don't need to pay your fees yourself – please just bring your assessment letter from Student Finance England with you to enrolment.

The University cannot accept payments in cash as we have to comply with strict Government regulations designed to stop money laundering. Unfortunately, this means our payment methods are restricted. We realise that this is inconvenient, and we hope that you understand this is for the long-term safety of our students.

If you would like to pay your fees using a UnionPay credit card, you can do so via our international payments platform. See below for details.

I'm a sponsored student: what do I need to do?

If you're a sponsored student you must produce written confirmation of sponsorship. Please provide contact details for your sponsor so they can be invoiced directly, including a contact name, address, telephone number and email address.

Sponsor letters must be addressed to the University of Hull, be in English, on formal letter headed paper, and must include your name, address, UCAS personal ID/applicant number/student enrolment number, and reference to either the sponsorship amount in pounds sterling (£) or the length of sponsorship (i.e. first year/full course).

You'll be expected to pay the full tuition fee if the above requirement is not met, or if your sponsor does not meet the University's terms and conditions regarding payment of tuition fees.

Your sponsor will need to be a legitimate government or public body - funding from family members (even if through a business) is not accepted, and you'll be classed as self-funding.

When you are invited by email to complete online enrolment you must upload your sponsor letter/financial guarantee letter. It will be reviewed and if accepted, you will be able to complete online enrolment. It is not necessary to upload fee waivers letters received from the University.
