The University of Hull is pleased to announce 50 tuition fee scholarships worth £5,000 each to full-time postgraduate taught students from Bangladesh, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand and Vietnam. 

Studentship Scheme Discount

International applicants


The Studentship Scheme Discount is worth up to £3,500 per course, and is applied to the tuition fees of new international undergraduate and taught postgraduate students on eligible courses. The standard discount is increased by £1,000 for students from low and lower middle income countries as defined by the World Bank. Check which courses attract the Studentship Scheme Discount.

 Sanctuary Scholarships

Asylum seekers and other forced migrants

The University of Hull is proud to be a University of Sanctuary. We believe that higher education should be accessible to all on the basis of merit alone, and are pleased to offer three Sanctuary Scholarships to help reduce the barriers to participation in higher education faced by those seeking asylum in the UK.

Each Sanctuary Scholarship consists of a full tuition fee waiver, an annual £2,000 study grant (paid pro rata to part-time students), and tailored personal support. Please see here for more information.

The University of Hull is proud to be a University of Sanctuary. Thanks to the support of Northern Dairies Educational Trust, we are pleased to offer a Scholarship which will support a successful candidate to study for a Masters Degree in TESOL. This course is ideal if you want to acquire an in-depth knowledge of English and how to teach it, and to explore new developments in language teaching such as the use of technology in the classroom.

The Scholarship includes a full tuition fee waiver and a living cost contribution of £6,000. Please see here for more information.

The University of Hull subscribes to the Alternative Guide to Postgraduate Funding, which is a web resource for current and prospective postgraduate students who are looking to fund PhD, Masters, and PGCE study in the UK through grants from charities, trusts, and foundations.
