About this award

To help towards costs when you're studying, we can offer parents an award of £200 per child, up to a maximum of three children.

How to apply

The Financial Support Team will contact you in trimester 2 with details on applying if you are eligible. The Child Grant is available each year of your studies.

Eligibility

The Child Grant is available for Home/UK undergraduate students who have been assessed by Student Finance England (SFE) as having a household income of £25,000 or less. The Child Grant is not available to NHS funded students (including those eligible for the NHS Learning Support Fund’s Parental Support), those in receipt of a Social Work Bursary, or students studying less than 25% full-time equivalent.
