Developing your academic and study skills

Three steps to study success

The University Library's Skills Team has lots of help and support available and they've identified three steps to get you started. Step 1 focuses on Skills for Study, a great entry-level resource. Skills for Study is perfect place to start developing your academic and study skills. It allows you to review your skills by undertaking diagnostic tests. These will help you identify your current study strengths and areas for development. Step 2 introduces their SkillsGuides. These cover most areas of academic, digital and study skills, all focused on supporting University of Hull students. These guides are great at developing specialist skills like reflective writing and critical thinking. Step 3 introduces the full programme of workshops and webinars. These interactive sessions are a great space to develop and practice your skills.

You must be enrolled to use Skills for Study (Step 1) or access workshops (Step 3)
