Entry requirements

  • Undergraduate

    For admission onto the first year of an undergraduate bachelors degree course we generally accept the following qualifications and grades:

    • شهادة الدراسة الثانوية العامة(Certificate of General Secondary Education) with an overall grade of at least 70% or the  الشهادة الثانوية العامة للمدارس المستقلة(Qatar Senior School Certificate) with an overall grade of at least 700  and successful completion of a foundation year approved by the University of Hull.
    • International Baccalaureate Diploma with a range of 28 – 30

    We also accept students who have completed a US high school curriculum.

    We sometimes require subject specific grades, we will advise you of this in your offer letter.

    If you wish to study with us starting from the second or final year, we are happy to consider applicants who have completed equivalent prior study. These applications are considered on a case-by-case basis. Please email global@hull.ac.uk for further details.

  • Postgraduate Taught

  • Foundation

    For Business, Law and Engineering courses

    Our Business, Law and Engineering foundation courses are run by our partner ONCAMPUS Hull. For further information regarding entry qualifications please see the ONCAMPUS website.  

    For all other foundation courses:

    For admission onto our foundation course we generally accept the following qualifications and grades:

    • شهادة الدراسة الثانوية العامة (Certificate of General Secondary Education)  with a minimum grade of 70%
    • الشهادة الثانوية العامة للمدارس المستقلة (Qatar Senior School Certificate)  with a minimum grade of 700

If your first language is not English, or you require a Tier 4 student visa to study, you will be required to provide evidence of your English language proficiency level. Find out more.

Fees

  • Undergraduate - standard tuition fees for international students are £14,000 per year for arts programmes and £16,600 for science courses – but substantial discounts and scholarships are available.
  • Postgraduate - standard postgraduate tuition fees for international students are £14,000 per year for arts programmes and £16,600 for science courses, but substantial discounts and scholarships are available. Non-standard fees apply for some courses - please see our course page for your fee.

Scholarships

Undergraduate/postgraduate studentship scheme discount applies to all new international undergraduate and postgraduate students. New international students will receive a discount of £2,000-£2,500 from their tuition fees.
