About The University Quarter
In the streets around campus you'll find inclusive student houses, provided by our award-winning partners, Kexgill. You’ll only ever be around a five-minute walk from your lectures, and most of your neighbours will be fellow students.
With 1gbps lightstream fibre broadband, our partnership houses provide some of the fastest broadband speeds of any student accommodation in the country.
Most houses accommodate five people and offer self-catered accommodation. Bathroom facilities are a mixture of en-suite and shared, and there's a fully-fitted kitchen for preparing meals. All houses also have a social area, which is great when you're getting to know your housemates. Room sizes range from small and medium to large and extra-large.
If you apply to live in a student house, you choose the type of room you want, and the University does the rest.
Some of our partnership houses have been newly refurbished, with modern décor and brand new furniture. If you’re one of the lucky ones to be offered a room in a freshly upgraded house, you’ll pay a little bit more - around £5 extra per week - so it’s important to consider this in your budget.
If placed in a partnership house, your contract will be with Kexgill and you'll be supported by their own team of on-site staff, including 24-hour maintenance. As well as offering practical help and support, the team run regular events and competitions, which means there's always something to get involved with - from fantasy football leagues to Pancake Day contests.
