For short or overnight stays, the University offers a range of affordable accommodation right next to campus.

Salmon Grove Guest House

This comfortable self-catered property is located just off the campus and includes both single and twin en-suite rooms, a well-equipped kitchen and sitting room with music centre. All bedrooms have a flat-screen TV, fridge, hairdryer, tea/coffee-making facilities, free internet access and internal telephone. Fresh towels and linen are provided on arrival. On-site parking is available to all guests.

Ferens Avenue Guest House

This self-catered property on the edge of campus includes a mix of single, twin and double rooms with shared bathroom facilities and a well-equipped kitchen with self-service breakfast provisions. All bedrooms are furnished with a TV, mini fridge, vanity basin and towels. Free WiFi and internal telephones are available in every room. On-site parking is available to all guests.

FAQ

How do I pay?

Payment is required in advance, either by credit card or internal transfer, before any booking can be confirmed and a key provided.

Where can I collect my keys?

Keys can be collected from 1st Floor Student Central, Student Central Hub, during office hours. Out of office hours from Security in the Venn Building. Security can be contacted on 01482 466868.

When will the room be ready?

Rooms will be ready from 2 pm on the first day of the booking.

What time do I have to leave my room?

The accommodation should be vacated by 10 am on your departure date.

What if I lose my key?

No key deposit is required, but a charge of £30 will be made to replace a lost key. Charges will be incurred for every additional night that a key is held.

How do I extend my stay?

If you wish to extend your stay, you must inform the Accommodation Office immediately, as your room may already have been booked out again. Please contact visitorsaccomm@hull.ac.uk

Can I invite guests into the accommodation?

Not without prior consent from the Accommodation Office.

Is smoking permitted?

Our accommodation is strictly non-smoking.

Can I bring pets?

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in our residences.
