Lots to see, loads to do

Free museums, eclectic galleries, new bars, historic pubs, famous nightclubs, heart-racing sport, hair-raising shows, foodie haunts, indie shops, bohemian cafés and more …

So many festivals, so little time

Every year, 30,000+ people come to watch 200 bands play at Humber Street Sesh. Pride in Hull is the region’s biggest LGBT+ festival. Then there’s Freedom Festival: a whole weekend dedicated to art, music and theatre.

Here, you're a name,
not a number

When you join Hull, you’re a valued member of a tight-knit community where the lecturers know your name. This is a place where everyone matters. A place for all ages, all backgrounds, all walks of life. It’s no coincidence that “friendly” is the word most of our students use to describe Hull. So whoever you are, there’ll be like-minded people here. You just have to find them. And that starts now.

Not sporty? Not a problem.

Our partnership with Team GB is built on a shared belief. We believe that anyone, with the right opportunities ahead and a dedicated team behind, can achieve extraordinary things.

Whatever you’re studying, and whether you’re sporty or not, there’ll be plenty of CV-boosting opportunities⁵ for you to get involved in our partnership with Team GB:

  • Work experience placements
  • Volunteering at future Team GB events
  • Business challenges
  • Research projects
  • Athlete appearances

Plus, introducing our new ambassador: five-time Olympic medallist and triple Olympic champion gymnast, Max Whitlock OBE. He'll be helping our students to discover just what it means to be extraordinary.

Roll out of bed
and into your lecture

Imagine it. Waking up each morning literally minutes away from your lectures. No need to catch the bus at the crack of dawn, no rushing across town to get to campus, just lots of lie-ins and leisurely breakfasts.

When you live in our swish on-campus apartments, you’ll also have our brand-new gym and sports centre on your doorstep. Plus bars, coffee shops (including Costa), a 7-storey library, a mini-supermarket and a nightclub.

And then there’s the views. Rose-filled lawns, 1,000+ trees, ivy-clad red-brick buildings … and an adorable squirrel population. This is one of the oldest universities in the country, after all.

So, let’s recap: all you need, all your mates, all on one beautiful campus. Choose Hull and live your best student life.

Westfield Court

Stylish, top quality, fully equipped. On top of all the facilities you’d expect, Westfield Court has games, music and big-screen rooms.

The Courtyard

Modern, bright, central. As well as single en-suite rooms, The Courtyard offers rooftop apartments and a bookable MasterChef-style kitchen.

Taylor Court

Small, friendly, convenient. An established and close-knit community, Taylor Court offers the best value for money on campus.

Rose Bowl

This is where it all started. Arguably the most beautiful spot on campus, The Rose Bowl area is also one of the oldest: dating back to 1927.

The Pantry

The most popular place to grab lunch on campus. You’ll find food for every mood here – from hot and hearty meals, to lean greens and grains.

We have one of the lowest rents in England and one of the cheapest pints in the country. So your student loan will go miles further here.

But don’t just take our word for it. As you can see, the numbers don’t lie:
