School of Environmental Sciences

The School of Environmental Sciences is part of the Faculty of Science and Engineering.

The school brings together our expertise in biology, geography and geology. It's home to internationally renowned authorities in climate change, renewable energy and biodiversity monitoring.

The most recent national Research Excellence Framework classified our biology outputs as ‘world leading’ and ‘internationally excellent’. And the same assessment ranked our geography and environmental studies research in the UK's top three for impact.
