What happens on the day of your graduation

What to do and when on the day of your graduation.

If you are graduating at 10.30am
  • 8am – 9.30am
    Collect your robes from the Guildhall
  • 8am - 9.30am (and 12.30am onwards)
    Official photographs in the Guildhall
  • 9am - 10am 
    Make your way to the registration desk in the Mortimer Suite, City Hall, obtain your seat number
  • 9.30am
    City Hall doors open for guests
  • 10.00am
    Graduating students to be in their seats in the Main Hall
  • 10.10am
    Guests to take their seats in the Main Hall
  • 10.30am
    Ceremony starts
  • Ceremony ends (approximate time)
    12 noon
  • 12.30am onwards
    Official photographs in the Guildhall
If you are graduating at 1.30pm
  • 10.00am – 12.00pm
    Collect your robes from the Guildhall
  • 10.30am - 12.30pm (and 3.00pm onwards)
    Official photographs in the Guildhall
  • 12.00pm - 1.00pm
    Make your way to the registration desk in the Mortimer Suite, City Hall, obtain your seat number
  • 12.45pm
    City Hall doors open for guests
  • 1.00pm
    Graduating students to be in their seats in the Main Hall

    Guests to take their seats in the Main Hall

  • 3.45pm

  • 4pm
