The Research Funding Office (RFO) is a service dedicated to helping researchers secure external funding. The RFO provides advice and guidance on developing research proposals and supports complex projects. When seeking external funding, we can identify appropriate sources through the GRANTfinder funding and policy search system. We use this tool to assist with alerts and information from thousands of funders, which can be tailored to an academic’s particular research and other areas of interest, supporting projects, collaborations, funding search and bid writing. We provide access to this system alongside monthly training sessions (with 'refreshers’ for existing users), so that users can maximise the system’s functionality and benefits.
The RFO can support you throughout the application process - giving advice on funders' guidelines, completing forms (e-submission systems) and liaising with the funder (clarifying any issues, for example). We'll also help you with calculating budgets and seeking approval through Worktribe, the research management and administration system).
