You'll understand how an unpredictable economic climate, new employment law or increased competition will impact your future business, whatever its size or type. Through this programme, you'll develop into a confident and competitive business professional who can take on any role – even as an entrepreneur in your own business. You'll understand and embrace real management techniques and develop transferable skills to enhance your employability. There are four options available for studying Business and Management at Hull. Students who do not have the qualifications and experience to enter the first year directly can study the foundation year before progressing on to the full course. The Business and Management degree offers a three-year study option, as well as two four-year options for students who decide to boost their employability through a professional experience year or studying abroad for a year at one of our partner institutions. Group and project work is actively encouraged and can often involve collaboration with local industry, using real-life case studies as a key to understanding today’s business environment. You will study a wide range of business functions and gain experience of a variety of areas across an organisation. As you progress through your degree, you will increasingly appreciate the impact of the outside world and learn how policies and strategies are developed by gathering and examining information from a range of sources.
