What is 1927 – and why read it?
1927 is the University of Hull’s undergraduate prospectus, reimagined.
Instead of leading with course lists and sales pitches, it starts with the bigger questions most prospectuses don’t always leave room for: How do you choose the right path after school or college? Is university the right option for you – or would an apprenticeship or work suit you better? And how does university fit into a world shaped by rapid change, new technology and uncertainty?
It’s still a prospectus (you’ll find a full course directory and practical information inside), but it’s also a space for reflection. We don’t presume that Hull is the right choice for everyone. And we don’t even presume that university is the right choice at all.
What we do believe is that confident decisions come from good information, honest perspectives and hearing from people who’ve been there.
